Pick N Mix – Week Starting 23 February 2009
- The Way the Cookie Crumbles tests five red velvet cupcake recipes and gives us the result. Sweet :]
- You know how I always go on about Hugh MacLeod from gapingvoid and how he’s awesome? Well he made a couple of points:
A. Most people work for the money. Most people wouldn’t do their jobs for free.
B. Most people hate their jobs. But I’m not thinking about “Most People” right now. I’m thinking about the small percentage of the population who want to love their work; who want to find meaning in their work… and are willing to work like hell to find out how.
Those crazy, deranged fools…
I left a comment on that post which obviously struck a chord, or proved a point. And a couple of posts later Hugh cited my comment and decided what united his readers (and therefore what we should be named as a collective) is that we are Crazy, Deranged Fools.
I love it! - Lookbook: Bright blue and yellow; Hat; Cupcake dress :D; Bride; Hoop skirt; Red top; Delicate looking dress; Coat, hair, gloves, tie…everything.
- The funniest speech about atheism you’ll ever read. Apparently in America atheists are reviled more than terrorists, killers, and rapists. Wow.
- All new math is equations for everyday life.
My favourites are:
Revenge = Do unto others – As you would have them do unto you
Maturity = Things you used to do – Things you used to do
Car alarm = The boy who cried wolf + Amplification
First impression = Everything you figure out later – Later
Death = Nap + Forever - Numbers 1-20 of the 101 greatest questions of all time.
- Crazy candid wedding photos
- I don’t know why but I really love all the pictures of actor’s body transformations for movies. You can see 19 pretty amazing ones at Pop Crunch
- Gummi bear battalion. So cool. So many gummi bears!

This is me, the superhero. :D You can create your own at the hero factory
