Week 3 – Project 365 – 2009

25 February 2009 – While walking home from another delicious meal at Arashi we saw a little monarch butterfly crawling along the gutter. The boy picked it up to move it out of harms way. Such a sweetie.

26 February 2009 – We discovered another place for cheap drinks. It’s called Shooters, on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights it’s a student meat market, but on Thursdays it’s beers for $3 and cocktails for $5!

27 February 2009 – While hanging out at the boys works on Friday night I noticed a pretty little silver cup taped to his computer screen, wondering WTF it was for, he told me it was the fail cup. He got it when he commented on an industry chat, someone asked for a phone umber, someone else replied with the wrong phone number, and the boy corrected the mistake with the same incorrect phone number. He gets confused sometimes.

1 March 2009 – Finally got my hoop home! It’s awesome. I was worried, due to my lack of skill in using the light childrens hoop, that I would suck with this one. I was so wrong.

that butterfly is beautiful! at my mum’s place in early summer we used to get huge swarms of monarch butterflies in the garden. if you went and stood near them they’d land all over you. Amazing.

Love your hoop! – I’ve been embarassing myself with a $6 kids hoop for a bit too long now – I suck!!… so does a grown-up heavy one actually make a difference?!

  3. Ms Constantine Says:

OMG Nelly. I couldn’t even use my $6 kids one at all. I could get it around about 4 times before it fell down. And as I said, I picked up this one and straight away can go as long as I like. It is the HUGEST difference. You can’t even compare the two really.
If you want to hoop you definitely need to get one!

  4. Chickie Little Says:

Ooh, that hoop looks all professional-like :) I expect lots of tricks soon.
Did you walk home with it finally, or did the boy have to drive it home?

  5. Ms Constantine Says:

The boy took me to get it on Sunday when he picked up his phone charger from work :]

  6. Ms Constantine Says:

I eyed up that hoop too but it was going to be too expensive in NZ dollars. It’s very pretty!
Thanks for the compliment about my jewellery. I know you sell on ebay, do you sell on Etsy too?

Lovely photos! I love butterfies <3
Oooh the hoop is pretty! I loves my hoop- it’s sparkly red and white with lovehearts!Oh yes, what a difference it makes from the kids hoops! I was the same: 4 times around max.
P.s. You make pretty jewellry too :)

    Wow your jewellery is gorgeous!
Nice hoop – I would’ve thought a heavier one would be harder to spin but I guess the extra weight gives it inertia (in the physics sense)?
Also, LOL at the Fail cup. I may have to implement that at my work. Although I think it would be almost exclusively in my possession :-P

  9. Ms Constantine Says:

Thanks Brooke. The problem with the one I had before was that it was hollow and TOO light to spin. The extra weight does give it inertia as you say. I just got a normal weighted one which is good for beginners.
You can get a lighter one if you’re experienced and are doing tricks. Or you can get heavier ones to help with weight loss.

I’d be almost completely in posession of the fail cup if my work had one too!

My stuffed Panda has a similar name as your stuffed Panda; his name is Marty.
