10 Emotions You Should Experience Before You're 30

1. freedom, 2. Life decisions / Decisiones de vida, 3. Green is Beautiful, 4. Feeling Bokeh Today…? ♥
- Lust when you have sex with someone for the first time.
- Excitement after getting your first professional job.
- Relief at handing in your resignation when you’ve realised that being from Generation Y and working for a Baby Boomer boss (or even a traditional Generation X boss) doesn’t always work out so well.
- Independence when you move out of home.
- Satisfaction knowing that you’re in charge now, and can eat ice cream for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if you want to.
- Despair when your first relationship ends.
- The thrill of winning money while gambling. Could be from poker, horses, at a casino, or something ghastly like a cock fight (hopefully not though).
- Comfort when you find friends you can tell everything.
- Confidence when you learn to love your own skin and make the most of what you’ve got.
- Awe thinking about your mum when you realise she was right about everything.

I’ve managed to experience a fair few of those! Some of them will never happen,eg.Proffessional job! But thats ok- I aim to work for myself. Still waiting for the confidence! I’m still feeling repulsed pretty much every time I see my reflection :( Yech.
Haha, ironically, I’m realising my mum was not so right on many points! But,having a kid of my own now, I definitely realise how hard it can be, and that she always did what she felt best for me,(which I’m grateful for) and that there is absolutely no such thing as the perfect parent!
Well Simi, you’re one of the lucky few who don’t have to go through the pain of getting a job working for “the man”. :p
It’s great that as a mum you’re really thinking about what it takes to be a good parent, and recognising how hard your mum worked to keep you safe. Not everyone gets to have good parents.
this is awesome! i’ve experienced all of them except for 7 & 8.
ps. hehe, cock fight!
Aw Gem, that sucks that you haven’t found a comfortable BFF yet! Hope you know you can tell me anything even though we’re far away from each other. :]
Confidence when you learn to love your own skin and make the most of what you’ve got.
My favorite line. Lovely post!
I probably can’t relate to point 3 because depending on which definition you want to use, I’m a Gen X’er… but relief from finally being able to go toilet after drinking a litre of water to prepare for a scan is good!
Dane – Thank you! I think it ties in well with your (and the ladies of KOS) discussions lately about haters on the net and how to deal/not deal with it.
Chickie Little – I don’t know about that. I think you’re going to be pretty relieved when you go on maternity leave! Maybe even as relieved as being able to pee. :p
