Things I Loathe Thursday
- People who have the beeps on on their phone and send text messages while standing next to you on the bus simultaneously breathing their stanky breath everywhere.
- Cold, rain, and wind all at the same time.
- Flying..
- When your favourite shoes start leaking.
- The waiting time between handing in your resignation and the last day.
- Not being able to catch a beautiful landscape with a simple camera.
- Taxi companies that have a long wait time and then never show up. And then when you call them to see where they are they tell you you’ve already been picked up. O’rly. Is that why I’m calling you?
What’s pissing you off this week?

When I spend a good ten minutes building an argument on why a pizza shouldn’t be called a pie, only to be told by someone who just visited Italy that Italians call pizzas pies all the time.
I also loathe when people think up really complicated job titles. The simpler the better, I reckon.
Oh I hate the wait between resignation and leaving! When you write the resignation you just want to leave, straightaway.
I do not have much I dislike this week. My cat is being oddly clingy which can get annoying when he’s demanding kisses and I am trying to study.
Although winter + public transport really annoys me, all the coughing and sniffing ugh. I am glued to my ipod in winter.
ack, i fucking hate it when people leave the beeps on their phone! i don’t know how they put up with it. something that pisses me off more though is when people press the pedestrian crossing button only to cross the road anyway half a second later, for some reason it just makes my blood boil!
@ Tash – Maybe it’s ok to call pizzas pies if you’re in Italy speaking Italian. Otherwise it’s WRONG! A pie is a pastry shell with filling.
@ Poppy – Ugh, public transport in general is such a pain but such a blessing all at once.
@ Josephine – I must admit I’m sort of guilty of the pedestrian crossing crime sometimes. But I only push the button when there are cars, and then cross when there are none. Or sometimes I push the button thinking I’m going to wait and then The Boy starts crossing anyway so I run after him to keep up.
I always am sure to turn my beeps off when texting. I can imagine how annoying it can be to others.
My current job is pissing me off. They’re paying me under the table, and they won’t commit to hiring me. Hours are crap. And the people I work for are…well…assholes.
