Angels and Demons – Short and Sweet Review

Angels and Demons - Fire

The Illuminati return to seek revenge on the Catholics.
If you’ve read the book you might be slightly disappointed, otherwise it should be fun.
The explosion is awesome.

2.5/5

I would probably give it a 3/5 personally.
I was lucky, I went in expecting it to be dire & it wasn’t that bad for blockbuster fluff. And it had been so many years since I read the book that I really didn’t remember how the book went. And now I understand why I didn’t start to remember as it got towards the end!
    Still love Ewan McGregor though.

I didn’t read the book that long ago so I was disappointed with all the stuff that was missed out. Plus I went in expecting it to be great for some unknown reason.

I didn’t even know Ewan McGregor was in the movie until it started playing! So it was a nice surprise. He should have been crazier though, he seemed more disturbed in the book.

I think it could have been done better it two ways:

1- don’t leave out the stuff about how he killed the pope because he had an illegitimate son and it turned out it was him, and he didn’t sin, because it was ivf. That shit is interesting.

2 – Stop trying to convince us that Da Vinci Code came before Angels and Demons. We know it didn’t, but we’ll play along if you don’t treat us like idiots.

The end was a little ruined for me ( but still good) because I’d had a biiiiig coke, and was about to explode, and couldn’t find my way out of the cinema, so I had to wait until the lights came up to run to the bathrooms to pee. I spose I strengthened my pelvic floor muscles though, And that is the end of my too-much-information-tidbit for today!

Hahaha, nice one Fi. And yea, being the popes son, and not having that included in the movie was ridiculous. It took away pretty much the whole motive for killing him.

Plus the fact they changed pretty much everything except the basic underlying plot.
