They're easy to pick on because they lead they way. And they often charge a lot more for their shoes than other brands. It has also been said that if they changed their practices, most others would follow suit. I don't know how true that is but it sounds feasible. I'm not sure if this will make you feel better or worse, but I've assumed that basically all the sports brands (and, for that matter, the vast majority of clothing, toys, electronics...) have the similar manufacturing processes to Nike. If the tag says 'Made in China/Taiwan/Indonesia etc' you can pretty much guarantee it's made in sweatshop conditions.
