Birthday Wishlist 2009
I love lists so what better way to celebrate an impending birthday by listing pretty stuff I would buy if money was no object. My birthday is this Friday, the 9th. Japanese will be had for dinner and on Sunday I finally get to go to the Lindale Centre and visit their candy shop. Yay.
Over the last year I’ve managed to procure 5 out of the 7 items on my 2008 wishlist!
- Tattoo – Yep. I’ve been going on about it so much that I couldn’t not put it on the list. I have three planned in my head. First one will hopefully be done in December.
- Books – I read SO much online but sometimes it’s nice to get engrossed in something 500 pages long instead of 1 page long.
- Booklight- I love reading in bed, especially when the weather is as cold and shitty as it is now. (spring, wtf is up?) The Boy usually goes to bed at least 5 hours before me though and hiding under the covers with a torch is a bit hard to do comfortably without moving around a lot. (I know it looks like a pregnancy test but I swear it’s not)
- Candy and cake – What would a birthday be without candy and cake? I have been searching for licorice bullets, the candy covered kind not chocolate covered, for AGES. They used to be everywhere and now they’re nowhere. *pout*
- Accessories – I have most accessories covered. But two things I can’t make myself are watches and earrings that fit a 0 gauge.
- Hand held card games – I’m not a gamer girl but I can get pretty obsessed with card games, and sudoku, and bejeweled. It’s be great if I didn’t have to sit at my computer to play. If I had a Nintendo DS I could put them all on there. :D
- DSLR Camera – Every amateur photographer/amateur narcissists dream. One of two items from last years list that I haven’t gotten yet.
- Skirts – I’m so over pants! I hope to see more skirts in my immediate future. I’m leaving the house on my bi monthly daylight excursion tomorrow (ah, later today :S) hopefully I’ll find some new pretties then.

I’ve been compiling a list similar to this for my blog too… and my birthday is far away in December! ha!
Yay for birthday is just a few days away! I love the bday countdown (for other’s not mine – anymore). I never could get into the whole reading books online thing. It’s nice to plop down the couch, turn the pages ever so carefully as to not crease the spine and just kiss the day away. Camera, skirts and that bright pink watch! Oooh I hope The Boy is taking notes :)

I have adored the same bullets you are talking about and haven’t even spotted them in the milk bar near my house – they haven’t sold any of their lollies for about 100 years so I thought they might still have them…the hunt continues…

I was going to go to Auckland too because I kept getting the same response. But it’s so far to travel without even getting to meet the artist first.
I went to Tattoo City today and I think I’ll get it done there. It looks good, nice and clean. It was recommended by someone I know and in my brief visit I could see all the guys were really nice. Really easy to talk to. And they don’t charge for creating a custom design. Going to take my ideas in and they’ll let me know the best artist to talk to for my consultation. Exciting!

Happy Early Birthday! I do hope you get what you want for your birthday. I’ve been meaning to get myself both a tattoo and a book light. Since my birthday is next month maybe we’ll both get what we want. :D
And yes a Nintendo DS is a great hand-held game system to have. I love mine to death and it’s great when you are bored and away from home.
