That’s just silly. What a waste of time, it’s too hard to trust people like that because who knows what will make them do it again.

I don’t regret the last 7 years together! We had great fun, and I really did want to marry Sol. However, knowing that he doesn’t see a future for us means I can start moving on and towards someone who does want to spend their life with me.

And I completely understand about wasting time, my cousin is/was going through the exact same thing now. And she already went through it with an ex a few years ago, he never saw a future for them, she did. She broke it off. He came back a year later…and to this day, I kid you not, sends her weekly emails. He’s been trying to win her back realizing his mistake (even bought a ring) but at this point she just wants him to go away – it’s been 4 years and he’s still going.
I agree, stop wasting time if it’s not going anywhere…but it doesn’t mean that the time spent that led up to that moment of letting go, was wasted, those experiences/moments shared will shape us and hopefully make us better for it in the end.
