I’m going on a bear hunt
There are tentative plans afoot in my world.
Plans that could finally kick me in the ass and stop me from living such an idle life.
It’s not that I don’t love my idle life. Being able to make enough money to live while working only a handful of hours a week is amazing. I have had the best year! I get to sleep as much as I want, I’m always available for parties, lunches, and movies. I get to read. A lot. And I pretty much don’t have to do anything I don’t love.
Society tells me I’m wasting my life if I continue to just laze around doing only the things I like to do.
But I disagree.
I’m wasting my life if I don’t do the things that set my heart on fire. Things I’m so excited about I find it hard to sleep from the ideas running in my head. Just over a year ago it was the prospect of quitting my lucrative office job to run my own jewellery business and live off less than minimum wage.
Now it’s the prospect of travelling the world and seeing amazing things. Wanderlust has finally got me. The thought of actually relocating so very far away from the safety of my friends and family is still one that fills me with anxiety, but who knows how I will feel in a few months. Or next year when I’ve actually visited other parts of the world.

ooh are you going overseas?
I’m at the “Oooo let’s do it!” stage of planning a trip for next year :D
Same here!
Just need to start saving $$
I’m with you! To me, a wasted existence is sitting in an office cubicle or standing in a shop all day where you’re bored out of your mind and wishing that you could be ANYWHERE else instead! There’s no shame in either of those jobs if you *enjoy* them, but if you don’t and somebody is instead out living the life of their dreams (which you are!), then how could anybody ever call that a ”waste”?! Psssh. Waste schmaste. You only get one shot at life; you may as well live it exactly how you please!
Oo! How exciting! I can’t wait to hear about all your plans.
Aaaahh, how exciting!! Where are you planning on going?
If you happen to pay a visit to Germany on your travels (and I may remind you that I saw something like that on your 101 in 1001-list), please come and visit me, Kim!
xo Sabrina xo
At this stage it’s Melbourne, Thailand, Turkey, Germany, Iceland, and Canada. There will be other places in Asia and Europe probably. But not sure where.
I*have* to go to Germany! It’s my number one priority because I’ve been wanting to go for so long! When I have any semblance of a plan you will definitely know because I’ve had you in my head when thinking about going to Germany. :D
Go, go, go! Anytime I travel my mom tells me to see everything twice – once for me and once for her. Can’t wait to hear more.
I think I”m getting a bit of wanderlust too…my partner’s Dad might be buying a share in some apartments in Iwoa and he’d want his son to assume the property management job. This would mean moving to Iwoa for awhile which the more I think about the more excited I get. Fingers crossed!
Change is definitely in the air!
I SAY GO FOR IT!!! My friends have all travelled and lived overseas and say it was the best experience of their life.
I’m trying to build up the courage to leave my job and work on the stuff i love…..but anxiety building lol.
Good Luck
