To the ladies I talk to quite often
I have quite a few friends. People I know I can rely on when I need something, or want to share something. People that I would gladly go out of my way for.
But then there is a smaller group. The people I talk to at least every few days. The ones that get excited over the same things as me. The ones that will send me 20 emails in a day just to talk about cleaning their room, or eating cake.
You guys make me so happy.
You make being an adult fun.
I never need your approval to do anything, because you’ll support me even if my ideas are emotional and irrational.
This is a love letter to you.

Hello, I just stumbled across your blog and I love the writing to people/things/places idea!!!! In fact, I sort of had this idea brewing in my head, but I already have three blogs, and I figured if I started another one I would just be publicly stating that I have absolutely no life. Glad you decided to make the idea a reality!! Because you’re really doing a great job of it!
Doesn’t it seem like this sort of discourse is a trend. I noticed recently that a lot of facebook statuses started out with “Dear such and such” and often “such and such” wasn’t even a person. That’s sort of how I came up with the idea. Anyway… you know what they say: great minds!!!!
