On my wishlist: Love Ring by Missy Industry on Supermarket
Best Buy: I had two great scores this week, first was business related. After a couple of necklaces broke in the post I realised that the pillow boxes I was using were just no going to cut it for delicate items. So I searched endlessly online for a couple of days trying to find afforable boxes to use for posting. Most were going to cost almost as much as the jewellery to buy and weren’t even black. Then I came across a manufacturer right here in Wellington. Longish story short, everything fell into step and I got black cardboard CD mailers for a fraction of the price they’re advertised elsewhere. They’re perfect and sturdy. Yay!

Sure I could've made it myself but not for that price!
The second score was my only purchase on a 3 hour long depressing shopping trip. Depressing because I couldn’t find a single item of clothing in all of the shops in Wellington that I wanted to buy.
The necklace was $33, was marked down to $9, and then scanned in at $3!

On my iPod: Circus by Britney Spears and It won’t be soon before long by Maroon 5. I love both of these pop albums and have had them on repeat all week.
On my wishlist: Dear Girlface has a range of these super cute deer for sale. There are pairs of them available for use as wedding cake toppers as well. How adorable is a little deer with a pegleg and an eye patch?! Too adorable!

On my iPod: I love the Genius function. I’m not sure how well it works, and haven’t bothered to find out what parameters it uses. But it makes choosing songs for the 8 hour drive to Mums house a lot easier. The Boy and I take turns choosing a song and listening the 25 song playlist attached to it.
On my wishlist: Hologram backed acrylic. Now that I’ve found my much sought after pink acrylic I need to find out either where to get holographic stuff, or how to make it. Does anyone know how it’s done? I’m suspecting it’s going to involve me sticking holographic foil to clear acrylic.

Favourite photo: I could have posted any number of terrible photos I took of my sister at her 21s last night. She got extremely drunk (as you do) and still feels fine today. But I won’t.
Instead I’ll show you this adorable little card of a “Waiting Chanchito“. It’s available from Etsy.

A special shout out to The Boy who turned a quarter century yesterday. Love you hun!
On my wishlist: Patch of grass brooch on Etsy. So cute! A patch of fake grass in an aluminium bezel.
Worst buy: A “bag of crap” from 1-day.co.nz. 1-day is a site that runs three deals per day, tey last for 24 hours and change at 12pm. They do an annual bag of crap sale where you pay the amount, this year $11, plus the shipping cost, and you get something random from their warehouse.
This year I got an xs/s Fox Racing cap in white and The Boy got an xs pink Paul Frank singlet. Obviously we cannot use either. Disappointing but I fell for it last year as well. And I’ll probably talk myself into getting one next year as well.
[ps if anyone would like these items they're going for $17 NZD each, this was cost of getting them to us. According to the internets that's really cheap :)]

On my wishlist: I want candy watch. I’m pretty sure this was made with me in mind. Now all we need to do is make this watch and this Plastermic Toy Watch have a baby and we would have created the best watch in the world. I’m really picky, I won’t buy something unless a) it’s perfect or b) I’ve searched so long for the perfect item, still haven’t found it and have decided to settle.
Best buy: Hard to choose between my bright pink and blue shoes, and my 8mm plugs and stretcher.
I managed to stretch my ears an extra 3mm to make them 8mm one at a time in less than a week! Yay, another item crossed off my 101 in 1001 list.

On my wishlist: Poor little Ernest would be perfect for us. He looks like a ninja in this photo (great for The Boy) and he can’t go outside in the sun (great for me and for our living situation). He got cancer and lost both of his ears, and needs to wear sunblock on his nose to prevent sunburn. Looking at all the adorable animals on the SPCA website makes my heart break.

It all looks so bright and amazing. But if I have to choose something it’s the Total Trash eye liner/cream base. I can just imagine this smeared all over my face after a night out. :D

Best buy: I got my eyes checked this week and I now have an astigmatism in both eyes. Yay. This called for new glasses and rather than taking a risk at buying some online I spent $600 on a new pair from the optician’s. Thankfully the timing was perfect as the store has a buy one get one free deal at the moment.
My workplace gives $50 per year towards eye tests, and $200 towards new glasses when your prescription changes. So all up I only had to spend $400 to get two new pairs of awesome glasses which will be fitted for me, have a years warranty and come with free cleaning etc policy for the lifetime of the glasses. I should have them by the end of next week. I can’t wait to show you all how they look on.
One of the pairs is this Burberry tortoiseshell (style BE 2016)
The funky red and black pair are definitely still on the wishlist (and I figured out they’re going to cost less than $100 New Zealand all up)!
On my wishlist: This beautiful Alex and Chloe sterling silver ring with three inverted black diamonds! I love silver coloured bands and black stones.
